Duration of Appointment: Fixed-term contract of two (2) years (renewable, subject to performance)
Nationality: To be eligible for appointment, candidates must be nationals of the Republic of Zimbabwe or nationals of any of the Member States of the Organization, holding valid Zimbabwean work permits.
Job Purpose
To undertake procurement, contract management activities, and other relevant support work for the timely, and cost-effective acquisition of goods, services and works for the Organization.

Principal Duties
1. Advise user departments on relevant purchase requests to ensure completeness and compliance with specifications, standards, procurement policy and procedures, available resources, and delivery time.
2. Identify the best and most relevant procurement method to be utilized for each procurement requisition.
3. Prepare bidding documents and other related documents for competitive tenders for the procurement of goods, services, and works.
4. Develop and prepare procurement contracts for consideration by the Legal Department.
5. Develop robust contract database for ongoing supplier management including the ongoing rationalization and management of suppliers.
6. Evaluate supplier performance in line with contractual obligations and service level agreements.
7. Review and assess the total supply chain risks and costs while identifying opportunities for quality enhancement, savings, minimization, elimination of potential risks, and systems improvement.
8. Prepare the annual procurement plan.
9. Collaborate with the Administration department to facilitate customs clearance of all imported goods and relevant processes until the delivery and final acceptance of goods/services.
10. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement returns and documentation.
11. Develop excellent and effective collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and external providers to ensure strategic and operational needs are fully understood and incorporated.
12. Provide secretarial support services to the Tender Board and Tender Evaluation Committee (s).
13. Provide technical advice on procurement activities.
14. Establish approaches for negotiations and coordinate all phases of negotiations with concerned parties.
Qualification and Experience
- - Bachelor Degree in Business Studies/Procurement/Supply Chain Management or related field and five (5) years relevant work experience.
- - Professional Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management.
- - Membership of a Procurement professional body.
- - Experience in an International Organization or Public Sector Institution is desirable.

Conditions Of Employment
Salary and allowances on first appointment shall be those applicable to Grade IC Step 1 of the ARIPO salary scales of the Intermediary Service category.
Base Salary: US$25,110 per annum.

Medical examination: The appointment is subject to a satisfactory United Nations-type medical examination to be conducted by an ARIPO-nominated medical practitioner.
